Anamarie Diaz, Finance Educator for Musicians | Boston Brand Photographer

Meet Anamarie Diaz, flutist and financial educator for musicians!

Anamarie and I have been friends on Instagram for a few years now + she's a student in Nicole Riccardo's course, Create Your Career, an online year-long course for entrepreneurs of which I'm also a coach in. This March, we finally got to meet in real life when Anamarie literally flew to Boston for her photoshoot; I'm still completely in shock with gratitude that she did that. When we met in person, she was somehow even lovelier than I already thought she was online! It truly felt like I had known her for years and she was so much fun to get to know throughout the course of our day together! Keep scrolling to learn more about Anamarie, what her photoshoot experience was like, and admire her incredible eyeliner skills.

1). Tell us a little bit about yourself and your business!

I am a professional flutist and flute teacher, and I provide financial education to classical musicians.

2). What was it like working with Taylor? Working with Taylor was a fantastic experience. This was the first time Taylor and I had met, but she instantly made me at ease and comfortable. I think having your headshots taken can sometimes be a scary or nerve wracking experience, but Taylor made this experience so much fun and she consistently gave me positive feedback throughout the entire process.

3). If you could give any advice to anyone who is preparing for a photoshoot, what would you tell them? My advice for people preparing for a photoshoot is to take the time to plan out your outfit(s). While you might have a good idea of what you want to wear, be sure you try it on and make sure it fits exactly how you want it to fit. Also think about the context the photos will be used in. One outfit may be good for one purpose but not another. You want to have a clear idea of how you want to be presented and if that speaks to what you are presenting. 4). What do you plan on using your photos for? I plan on using my photos on my flute studio page, www.diazflute.com, on social media for my financial education Instagram, @thefinancialflutist, and soon my financial education website. 5). Did you have a favorite part of the session? Honestly, the whole entire session was just so much fun. I had such a great time doing different poses and having Taylor direct me. It is definitely going to be one of the highlights of my year!
