Joe and Kristen, Surprise Engagement Proposal | Boston Engagement Photographer

On a perfect May day, Joe and Kristen got engaged during golden hour at Fan Pier Park in the Seaport of Boston. Joe and I had spent the few months prior planning the location, time, angles, and backup plans for rain. The days leading up were all incredibly rainy themselves but a few hours prior, the clouds parted and we were left with the most stunning sunshine. The way I've found surprise engagement sessions work best is that the person proposal and I decide on a spot, but an hour prior, they also share their location with me so I can watch a little blue dot very closely on my phone just incase the moment feels right someone else, or if they're running early or late! J&K got to the spot almost to the minute and even though later Kristen admitted that she had a slight inkling this was going to happen, the expression on her face is priceless with surprise! J&K were such a fun couple to work with and were ready to go with poses when we did their mini photoshoot after and a big congrats to the happy couple on their engagement!
